Mature Willow Pollarding

Located on an estate near Swindon, these mature Willow trees had been left unmanaged for some time and were out growing their location.  Being very near to a large waterway the Willow were thriving as can be seen from the picture above

As part of our customer's 5 year arboricultural management plan, Bawden Tree Care were instructed to carry our pollarding of all the Hazel within this copse, the results were drastic but would ensure the ongoing viability of the trees and ensure that the whole area remained manageable.  All of the cut timber was chipped and re-cycled on the same estate, being used to replenish woodland walks.
