Amesbury - Horse Chestnut Crown Reduction
The tree care team were asked to reduce the canopy on a mature horse chestnut by a maximum of 30%, equating to 2 metres all around. The horse chestnut was protected by a TPO; as a result, permission was required from the local authority before works could commence.
As part of the package that we offer here at Bawden Tree Care, we handled the necessary application and communication with Wiltshire County Council regarding the TPO, and ultimately gained permission to complete the work as recommended. As well as the horse chestnut's crown being reduced, the crown was also thinned to allow more dappled light peek through to the lawns below. Crown lifting was completed in addition, in order to raise the base of the canopy all around.
Very positive feedback received from the customer, who was delighted with the work completed:
"Very friendly, tidy and respectful staff, I am very happy with the finish and aftercare received - thank you!"
